Who is Bhadra and why it's time is very important in festival or auspicious activities?
According to the scriptures, Bhadra is the daughter of Lord Surya and Chhaya and she is the sister of Shani Dev. It is said that when Bhadra was born, she was about swallow the whole universe. She used to create hindrances in auspicious works like Havan, Yagya and other religious activities. Therefore, any auspicious activities should not be done during Bhadra period.
The time of Bhadra should be strictly avoided and it is believed that as it has malefic effects and it is considered to be inauspicious to celebrate this beautiful festival during Bhadra time. One should always check Shubh Muhurat and Choghadiya of the day before beginning any important ritual.
भद्रा स्थान:
जब चंद्रमा कर्क, सिंह,कुम्भ या मीन राशि मे होता है तब भद्रा का निर्माण पृथ्वी पर होता है। चंद्रमा जब मेष,वृषभ, मिथुन व वृश्चिक में होता है तब स्वर्ग लोक में भद्रा का निर्माण होता है,वहीं यदि चंद्रमा जब कन्या,तुला,धनु और मकर राशि मे होता है तब यह भद्रा पाताल लोक में निर्मित होती है।
भद्रा जिस लोक में निर्मित होती है उसका प्रभाव उसी लोक में होता है|
